I Am T-Pain was one of the first truly successful music apps on iPhone, allowing fans to Auto-Tune their vocals to oblivion, while sharing the results with friends. Now the rapper has teamed up with toy firm Jakks Pacific to launch an I Am T-Pain mic, which gives the same audio effect without the need for an app. It’ll cost $39.99 when it goes on sale this summer. “We’re milking this thing baby,” said T-Pain at the product’s CES unveiling. “I’m a really tech-savvy guy, so I know a lot about technology. So we’re just trying to expand on the stuff that I really like doing, you know what I’m saying? Not just something to get a check, you know what I’m saying? Just stuff that I can actually enjoy.”
