It’s an iPhone-based photo-sharing service, which is all about taking snaps, applying a range of ‘filters’ to make them look more interesting, and then sharing them on the Instagram service, as well as other social networks. It’s pretty nifty, but why are we writing about it? TechCrunch has a piece explaining that brands are signing up for Instagram in droves, including NBC News, Playboy, Pepsi, CNN, National Geographic, Starbucks, David Blaine and the Grammys.
