We raved about iPad app Aweditorium when it was released last year. Now it’s got competition from a new app called Discovr. It lets users explore artists via their relationships/similarities, using a flowchart-style user interface. Tap on an artist’s bubble, and it reveals a biography, links to blog posts and reviews, and the option to listen to their music via YouTube videos. The app is the work of startup Jammbox, using technology from Echo Nest and 7Digital. The developer is planning to add features in a future update to scan users’ music libraries and add the most-played artists to their Favourites bar.
