The Beatles have now sold more than five million individual songs on Apple’s iTunes Store, in less than two months since their catalogue went live on the service. The group have also sold more than one million full-length albums on iTunes in that time. The figures came from Apple itself. Abbey Road is the most popular full album, and Here Comes The Sun the most popular individual track. With single albums costing $12.99 and tracks $1.29, that makes for gross revenues of at least $19.4 million for the two months – and don’t forget, a decent chunk of the album sales would have been $19.99 double-albums, driving the total revenues higher.Read more: http://tinyurl.com/6l78ol9
