Have you clicked on one of those little Facebook Like buttons recently? You’re certainly not alone. Last July, 65 million people did the same, and that’s probably increased sharply since then. Tech investor Saad Khan has written a guest column for VentureBeat claiming that this ‘Like-ification’ will be a key trend this year. “If 2010 was about gamification, then 2011 will belong to people who can figure out what to do with what we like…” He talks about its relevance to the web, advertising and the real world – music isn’t mentioned, but it’s easy to think of how his theory will apply in our industry too. “Big changes are afoot in 2011,” writes Khan. “I think entrepreneurs are going to heart them.”
