Last week, we wrote about iPhone photo-sharing service Instagram’s appeal to brands, wondering “if more artists might start popping up on the service in the months ahead”. Well, they have. Snoop Dogg has joined Instagram, posting his first picture of himself ‘bossin it up’ in a suit. TechCrunch reports that Snoop may also be promoting a separate brand, energy drink Blast. His photos are being shared from Instagram to Twitter, helping him attract followers. That said, he has nearly 2.5 million followers on Twitter, and just 772 on Instagram at the time of writing. Still, it’s the latest example of Snoop’s digital savvyness – he was early into virtual items and Foursquare too.
