Music marketing firm Sonicbids is best known for its electronic press kits (EPKs) for artists. However, now it’s looking to take on RootMusic with a new service that helps bands build their Facebook Pages. “We realised that we were helping people get gigs but not cultivating their audiences,” founder Panos Panay tells Digital Music News. “We needed to do more.” The service lets artists link their Sonicbids and Facebook accounts, then port over their EPK data to the social network. Advanced features include the ability to lock certain content until fans perform certain actions, including Liking the page.
