Virgin Mobile is the latest brand to sign a deal with Lady Gaga, based around her upcoming US tour. Virgin is working with social media firm Talenthouse on a contest to recruit 10 official bloggers for concerts during the tour. To enter, fans have to upload a video audition to Virgin Mobile’s Facebook page, which other users will then vote on with their Likes. “They want the right `likes’,” says Talenthouse boss Amos Pizzey. “They want people who are there to consume content.” It’s certainly a social traffic driver for Virgin Mobile, whose 40,000 Facebook fans is dwarfed by Gaga’s 27.7 million.
