A new report called The Social Break-Up asked more than 1,500 people why they unlike, unfollow and unsubscribe from Facebook, Twitter and mailing lists: 81% of consumers have unliked brands on Facebook, and 71% are more selective about liking brands on Facebook now than they were last year. The report digs into the reasons. When people unsubscribe from opt-in mailing lists, 54% say the emails came too frequently, while 49% say the content became repetitive or boring over time.
