Mobile discovery service Shazam has gone live in Japan, through a partnership with operator NTT DoCoMo. The company’s Android app is now available in DoCoMo’s mobile web portal as a free version, with a link to download the premium edition from Google’s Android Market. The app has been localised for Japan, with charts from iTunes, Oricon and MTV Japan, along with data for Japanese songs. Local users are being charged ¥400 for the premium Shazam Encore app there.
