Indian mobile entertainment firm Hungama has teamed up with operator Bharti Airtel for a mobile webcast, with Nokia chipping in to stream it on the web. Bollywood duo Vishal & Shekhar will play an unplugged set, which users will be able to listen to by dialling a shortcode. It will cost 15 Rupees (around $0.33) to register, and then 2 Rupees a minute to listen (around $0.04), meaning that if the concert lasts 40 minutes, the total cost for a listener will be just under $2. “As leaders in the digital entertainment space, we see a huge potential in the consumption of entertainment content across video and voice,” says Hungama boss Siddhartha Roy.
