Atlantic Records UK has revamped several of its artists’ Facebook presences, using the new Pages design recently launched by the social network. Parade, Lykke Li and Plan B have all benefitted so far, with the latter two getting embedded video content, while Parade and Plan B are busily Liking pages from other musicians and charities. “The new Pages look great and hold much more creative potential for us to work with artists on an immediately arresting Facebook presence. But the new functions run deeper than that, as they affect how artists and labels connect with fans through Facebook,” says Atlantic UK’s digital boss Jack Melhuish. “The ability to comment and `like’, coupled with the amendment in the news feed, means that it’s the artists who are regularly interacting with other users and posting the most engaging content who will generate the most buzz through Facebook.”
