A survey commissioned by casual games publisher PopCap (of Plants Vs. Zombies fame) has found that 33.6% of mobile users report playing a game on their phones in the last month, while 24.6% say they play every day. Meanwhile, the average smartphone gamer bought 5.4 mobile games in 2010, spending $15.70 in total. 27% of mobile gamers have paid for in-app content for a game that was initially free, while 19% say they play at least one social game on their phones every day.
