Research In Motion has announced (well, tweeted) that its BlackBerry App World store is now doing three million app downloads a day. That’s a big jump from the two million daily download milestone reported in February, and likely explained by the fact that RIM’s app store has since expanded to 100 countries around the world. App World continues to be under the radar for most music apps, although DIY platform Mobile Roadie now supports it, which should see more artist apps making the leap to BlackBerry. As a contrast, it took Apple three months to go from seven billion to 10 billion downloads on its App Store, indicating around 33 million daily downloads.
