Facebook has announced that it now has more than 250 million people accessing its service from their phones, up from 100 million in February 2010. And while a lot of that growth has come from smartphone apps for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry, the social network is keen to stress the importance of its mobile websites for smartphones and cheaper handsets. Now the company is merging those sites, with the aim of making it faster to implement new features across both. Source: TechCrunch
