The latest music app aiming to help people discover live music has gone live on the App Store. Fandemic is the work of startup Fandora, and claims to firstly “provide a platform for bands, musicians, D.J.’s, and anybody wanting to promote their live music can do so on a nationwide phone app”, and secondly to “provide an easy channel to the live music lover”, helping them find local gigs by genre or artist. Fandora’s decision to charge $0.99 for the app could hinder its uptake though, given the availability of plenty of free alternatives that have launched in the last few months. Source: AppShopper
