Vevo appears to have a new UK managing director, in the form of broadcaster Channel 5’s head of digital media Jonathan Lewis. Media Week reports he’s been poached by the online music videos service, which is planning to launch in the UK very soon. The report suggests Lewis will lead a team of 30 people in Vevo’s UK office. Vevo videos are already available in the UK through YouTube, but the full launch will see a localised version of its website. Music Ally caught up with CEO Rio Caraeff at the MIPTV conference this week, and he told us the company will also be launching its iOS and Android apps in the UK as part of the launch.
