US band TV On The Radio have released their new album Nine Types of Light, which is accompanied by an hour-long film published on YouTube – following in the footsteps of Kanye West, who recently released his own short film online. “Nine Types of Light is as much an album as it is a movie by TV on the Radio,” the band tell Mashable. “The movie is meant to be a visual re-imagining of the record, and includes a music video for every song on the album.” Friends and filmmakers were enlisted to direct the videos, which were patched together with interviews with locals in New York.
