Digital Music News has been analysing the likely revenues for ‘Friday’, the vanity video that became a viral hit for US teenager Rebecca Black. It calculates that the track has made more than $198,685 from YouTube ($102k) and iTunes sales ($96,685) alone, plus more revenues from downloads and ringtones sold by the song’s creator Ark Music Factory, and performance royalty income for TV and radio plays.
