Britney Spears wants to find her biggest fan, and to do it she’s opted to use Finnish social location startup Flowd. Sony Music Entertainment is launching a campaign called ‘Britney Spears – Who’s the biggest fan?’ using a new feature on Flowd’s platform called Frequent Fans. The campaign is EU-only, and will reward the first 1,000 fans taking part with a free download of her new single. Fans will check in to the campaign via Flowd’s app for iPhone and Android. “We are continuously looking for new innovations to improve fan loyalty and also reward the most loyal fans. Flowd looks interesting in that respect,” says Sony Music’s brand manager Wouter Jansen. Flowd is hoping that more labels will use its Frequent Fans feature to create promotions and mobile coupons around their artists.
