. comScore has been digging through the numbers on this, and finds that in the US, iOS reaches 37.9 million people, versus Android’s 23.8 million. “The finding is incredible because it shows that Android being the most popular smartphone is not the whole story,” says comScore’s Mark Donovan. “Publishers, developers and advertisers are trying to understand how to reach audiences, and the study shows that users are using a range of devices.” Separately, Apple’s lawsuit against Samsung reveals some new stats on iOS devices’ global sales.
