Musical browser extension startup Exfm has announced its own funding round – $750,000 of seed financing from Spark Capital, Betaworks, Founder Collective and Dave Morgan. The company had already raised $500,000 in May 2010 for its service, which was initially available as an extension for Google’s Chrome browser. The idea: when people are surfing websites with embedded or linked MP3s, the exfm bar pops up to play them. It also digs into Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr to play songs linked to by friends. The company says it will use the new funding to expand onto other browsers, and also launch iOS and Android apps.
