There has been something of an explosion in social music apps recently, with Songasaurus the latest to be released for iPhone. The idea: it lets friends sign up and connect their accounts to see what songs they’ve been listening to recently. The app presents a timeline to see what friends have been listening to on their iPhones (and just as importantly, what they’ve skipped), as well as identifying specific songs that you have in common with them. “I created the app because I wanted a way for my friends and I to see what we were all listening to,” developer Kaveh Azari tells Mashable. “I always like to see my friends’ music libraries because most of them have better taste in music than me.” Links are provided to buy songs from the iTunes Store, and in the future, Azari is hoping to include Featured Artists promotions.
