Amazon has announced that its net sales increased by 38% year-on-year to $9.86 billion in the first quarter of 2011, but its net income fell 33% to $201 million for Q1. As ever, there were precious few details of how sales are going on the Amazon MP3 Store, while on the cloud music front, Amazon merely reiterated that it had launched its Amazon Cloud Drive and Cloud Player services during the quarter. The company also says that “millions” of apps have already been downloaded from its new Appstore for Android.
