Remember Shazam’s ‘Golden Tag’ competition for Take That in the UK late last year? Now the idea has been exported to the US, via a deal for Hollywood Records artist Selena Gomez. Fans tagging her new single Who Says using the Shazam app on Android or iPhone will be entered into a competition to win a trip to see and meet Gomez during her upcoming tour. “We are excited that we are able to offer tens of millions of Shazamers the first in a series of original Golden Tag promotions, giving them once-in-a-lifetime opportunities like meeting their favorite artists and seeing them perform live,” says Shazam EVP of marketing David Jones.
