It’s possibly not the best week to be unveiling a pair of tablets with cloud entertainment built in if said cloud services are causing a global security rumpus (see Top Story). Yet that’s what Sony did yesterday, unveiling its first two wannabe iPad-killers, which are codenamed the S1 and S2. Both run Google’s Android 3.0 Honeycomb software, with the S1 being a standard tablet format, while the S2 uses a DS-style dual folding screens form-factor. Both will integrate tightly with Sony’s Qriocity-powered music and video services, as well as the PlayStation Suite gaming offering. Source: MobileEntertainment
