The hunger for social media data shows no sign of abating within the industry, with numerous startups touting analytics services to capitalise. The latest is BackType, which has launched a new service called BackTweets Pro. It costs $100 a month, and allows brands and companies to dig into deep data on tweets and shared links, with a database of more than 30 billion tweets. Features include keyword performance analysis, info mapping Twitter activity against website traffic, and even hints on the best times of day to tweet to generate activity. “BackTweets is the only product that closes the loop for marketing on Twitter, helping brands, agencies and publishers understand how engagement on Twitter converts to web traffic, sales or other key performance indicators they’re interested in,” says founder Christopher Golda.
