Earlier this year, Topspin and RCRD LBL teamed up to announce a new service called RCRD DEALS. The aim: sell time-limited bundles of music and merchandise, using a Groupon-style model. The site has now gone live, with the first deal being a box-set of Band of Horses’ Infinite Arms, including vinyl, CD and digital versions along with photos, posters and a t-shirt. There are five days left on the deal, which costs $49, although some fans have pointed out that Amazon is selling the same thing (minus the t-shirt) for $37.66. Even so, RCRD DEALS looks interesting, with Twitter and Facebook both baked into its homepage to help promote the special offers.
