Startup Plizy has released its iPad app, which lets people sign in to their Facebook and Twitter accounts, then watch the videos that their friends have been linking to. Meanwhile, the app learns what users like in order to serve them up more videos that they might want to watch, with TechCrunch Europe dubbing it ‘Flipboard meets Pandora’. Although it’s initially available as an iPad app, the company will launch Plizy for other tablets and connected TVs in the coming months. It joins apps like Showyou which are doing a similar thing on iPad, although the business model is, as yet, uncertain. Plizy has raised $1.2 million from angel investors to help it find out, though.
