US startup Music Mastermind has announced a $10.8 million Series B funding round, led by Intel Capital and Liberty Global, with angel investors chipping in. The company is planning to launch a cloud-based service later this year which it says will allow anyone to create and share music. “Our products fuse together the best elements of music production tools, interactive entertainment, and social engagement, empowering everyone to experience the joy that comes from making and sharing great music,” says co-founder Bo Bazylevsky. We last wrote about Music Mastermind in November 2010 (Bulletin, 19-Nov-10) when it showed off its SoundBetter platform, which wraps a game-like interface around music creation. Source: Billboard
