Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga sign up for Twitter Follow Button

Twitter has a new button for websites to use to drive traffic to the service. The Follow Button is described as “a new way to discover and instantly follow Twitter accounts directly from the websites you visit everyday”. More than 50 sites have signed up to use it from launch, including the official sites of Justin Bieber, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga, as well as, The Telegraph, CBS Interactive and Conde Nast. Essentially, the Follow Button can be placed on any site next to any content, with users clicking on it able to follow whatever Twitter account it’s linked to. Expect to see them popping up next to Facebook Like buttons on artist accounts over the coming months.
