Indie band Kaiser Chiefs (Fiction/B-Unique Records) has come up with a quirky way of packaging their latest album, “The Future is Medieval”. Instead of the Coldplay freebie or the Radiohead pay-what-you-want, the Kaiser Chiefs release is like a pick-n-mix. There are twenty tracks to choose from and fans can pick their ten favourites for a bundled price of GBP £7.50, complete with bespoke album cover. The album is not chart eligible in the UK, according to Billboard, but the press coverage for their innovative approach may make up for that.
