We’ve heard about the diminishing fortunes of music-based interactive games, but Ubisoft hopes to revive them with a new game that features a real guitar. Rocksmith is an “authentic guitar game” complete with real guitar tuning – is that a feature or a bug? – and the actual honest-to-goodness six-string jack-in electric guitar feel. It’s halfway between game and guitar lesson and may inspire players who want to graduate up from the push button simplicity of Guitar Hero.
