David Bowie has got his second iPhone remix app, with this one focusing on Golden Years, a single from 1975. The original 16 tracks have been bounced down to eight stems, which can have their volume turned up and down. Shake the iPhone, and the volumes are randomised. It’s based on the same iKlax technology that powered the previous remix app for Space Oddity, which also focused on volume tweaking rather than more complex remixing features. The results can be shared with friends too. Released alongside the app is a Golden Years EP, with the original single version and four new remixes from DJs at US radio station KCRW.
