Four former employees of music service iLike are launching a (currently) stealthy new startup called Picadee, with financial backing from iLike founders Ali and Hadi Partovi. The company has not announced what Picadee will be doing, but while at iLike its co-founders – Marcus Womack, Mike Bohlander, Ray Fortna and Josh Hepfer – worked on an iPhone app called Local Concerts which listed gigs in a user’s town or city, with alerts when new gigs were announced. So it wouldn’t be surprising if Picadee was somehow music and mobile related, although as ever with this kind of startup, they may have had their fill of music industry machinations and decided to do something completely different.
