MTV launched a new website last year called Posted, which aggregated tweets, videos, news, photos and other content from music artists in one place for fans, with branding from the MTV, VH1 and CMT networks. Now the broadcaster has announced plans to get fans more involved, letting them upload their own photos and videos to something called ‘The Posted Fan Club’. The site is also getting a bump with live artist chats and music video premieres, and will become a presence in the mobile apps for the various MTV channels. “With social media providing a loud voice to millions, MTV Music Group has been innovating and iterating in the space to offer music fans with a much needed curated filter,” says EVP of digital media Dermot McCormack.
