Hacktivist group LulzSec has been rarely out of the headlines in recent days, after a spree of high-profile attacks on websites, and the arrest of one of its members – accused of taking down the BPI and IFPI sites among others. Having attracted some serious heat – the FBI and CIA are on the hunt for its core group – LulzSec has announced that it’s disbanding. “It’s time to say bon voyage. Our planned 50 day cruise has expired, and we must now sail into the distance, leaving behind – we hope – inspiration, fear, denial, happiness, approval, disapproval, mockery, embarrassment, thoughtfulness, jealousy, hate, even love,” explains its farewell letter to the internet. “If anything, we hope we had a microscopic impact on someone, somewhere. Anywhere.” Source: Business Insider
