ShareMyPlaylists has carved out a healthy niche for itself helping Spotify users to find playlists that they might like. Now it has followed Spotify’s lead in adding social features. SMP users can now connect their Facebook and Last.fm accounts to the service, which then pulls in their favourite artists and auto populates their profiles on the site. What’s more, it will also recommend existing playlists based on that data, as well as auto generate new playlists based on single artists or all of them combined. “Our aim is to make music discovery as effortless and simple as possible,” says founder Kieron Donoghue. “We already have the Playlist Generator which will create a playlist based on an artist you suggest. The new Connect feature takes this one step further and uses your existing social profiles to create and recommend playlists based on one artist or a combination of many.” Source: ShareMyPlaylists
