Music service Rhapsody now has more than 800,000 subscribers, the company has announced. That’s 150,000 more than when it became independent from previous owners Viacom and RealNetworks in April this year, with president Jon Irwin claiming that the 150,000 “exceeds the lifetime total of all new U.S. competitors combined”. Nearly 40% of Rhapsody’s streams now come from its mobile apps, the company says.
