We’ve written about Google+ in recent weeks wondering how it might be used by artists and music marketers. As we said in our Sandbox lead feature last week, the Hangouts video chat feature looks to have plenty of potential. Now singer/songwriter Daria Musk has proved the point, using Hangout to broadcast a live set from her recording studio. There were necessary restrictions: only 10 people could watch at once due to Google’s limitations, although luckily one of them was a Google engineering director, who figured out a way to ‘daisy chain’ the video chat so more people could log in. Even so, expect a wave of other artists to start testing Hangout in the coming weeks. Source: GigaOM
