Crowdfunding startup Kickstarter has published some stats to celebrate its 10,000th successfully funded project. The milestone was hit earlier this month, and as of 17 July, 10,388 projects had been funded on the site, although 13,113 had been unsuccessful. Music projects are the most popular category for successful funding on Kickstarter: 3,110 music projects have been funded by fans through the site, ahead of film and video (3,048), art (977) and theatre (854). So far, more than $75 million has been pledged by users to projects, with $60 million of that collected by successful projects.The majority of funded projects are in the $1,000 – $5,000 range.Read more:http://tinyurl.com/3muan5s
