We wrote about LoKast last month: it’s an iPhone app that lets people share content with other users nearby, and was used at SXSW by several bands to distribute promotional tracks to audiences at their gigs. Now the company behind it, NearVerse, has raised $1 million funding to further develop LoKast. The startup says it plans to launch an Android version of the app soon, as well as adding Facebook Connect functionality. Source: TechCrunch
