The Vaccines are the latest artist to tap into mobile photo-sharing service Instagram, with a campaign to solicit content for their next music video. Fans are being asked to tag their pics of the band playing festivals with the hashtag #vaccinesvideo, to help the band pull them into one place and then edit them into a video for the song ‘Wetsuit’. There’ll be a gallery showcasing all the shots too. The campaign follows Moby’s use of Instagram for his album/photography project Destroyed, which used a similar hashtag mechanic (Bulletin, 10-May-11). Meanwhile, earlier this week iPhone app Coverjam was launched, sucking down images from Instagram in real-time relating to whatever song the user is playing.
