US music site RCRD LBL has a brand new iPhone app that’s just hit the App Store, bringing its free music downloads to a mobile audience. And yes, we do mean ‘downloads’: “Download the latest tracks on your mobile device, share your favorite songs with your friends, and check out the site at rcrdlbl.com,” explains the app, which is presumably using offline cacheing to store songs. The app also has some features not available on the site, including the ability to create your own playlists, get early previews of songs and listen to mixes contributed by artists and celebrities. Sleigh Bells are one of the first artists to take part. The app is free to download and use. Source: AppShopper
