US streaming music service Rdio has announced its latest mobile deal, with Canadian operator Telus. It will now be the exclusive provider of music subscription services to Telus’ seven million customers (although we assume they’re free to download apps from and subscribe to other services if they want). The deal includes offering a six-month subscription to Rdio for new and renewing Telus customers for free, if they buy a compatible handset. Rdio is also replacing Telus’ existing own-brand music service, and will be helping customers of that rebuild their playlists if they switch over. Source: Rdio
