The latest recommendation-focused music startup is ConcertCrowd, a new Facebook application that shows people upcoming gigs in their area, sorted by Your Artists (artists that the user has Liked on Facebook) and Recommended Artists (based on what friends have Liked). The application ties in with the Facebook events calendar and wall, while also pointing users in the direction of ticketing sites and the Facebook pages of the bands themselves. It’s roughly in the same space as Songkick and others, but it remains to be seen if ConcertCrowd will get enough traction to become a major player in live recommendations. Source: Mashable
