UK studio 8linQ has released its Say What?! iPhone music game today, armed with a catalogue of songs through its deal with Sony Music Entertainment (and also publishers). The game gets players to tap on icons representing words from songs, in time to the music and also scrolling lyrics at the top of the screen. The game is a free download, but individual songs cost £1.49 via in-app purchase. It comes with a free track from Calvin Harris, while its in-game store has songs from Kasabian, The Nolans, Scouting for Girls, Toploader, The Zutons and The Hoosiers, with more to come. As we explained in a recent Music Ally Report, 8linQ is a joint venture between music producer Music In Colour, app developer Reactify and recording studio company Metropolis Group. Music In Colour was itself formed by a group of developers who formerly worked on the DJ Hero console games. Link –
