Apple’s ambition to defend its iPad tablet against Android competitors isn’t stopping with this week’s preliminary injunction against the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. That device is now being removed from sale across the EU after a German court ruled in Apple’s favour, as we reported yesterday. However, it has emerged that Apple has also filed a complaint with the same court over another Android device, the Motorola Xoom. Apple and Motorola are already waging patent war against one another in the US, but the battle has now extended to Europe. If the Xoom was also ordered off-sale, that would be the two biggest iPad rivals (so far) banjaxed in Europe. Source: FOSS Patents
