eMusic has a new beta feature in the US: eMusic Radio. It’s a branded non-interactive online radio station offering free streams of songs picked by the eMusic editorial team. Channels are themed, usually around genre, with the eMusic Radio player located at the bottom of the music service’s website, using Flash. Billboard explains that eMusic subscribers are allowed to listen for up to 10 hours every 30 days, and are only allowed to skip six songs an hour. The service will get more features in the future, including a Buy button to quickly acquire tracks that are playing on eMusic Radio. It may also be opened up to non-subscribers, for limited time periods at least.
