Warner Music Spain is acquiring event production and marketing firm Newiscom, which will be run as a standalone unit by the major label’s local division. The company is known best for working on branded gigs, press conferences, launch parties and conventions. The deal comes after two years’ of partnership for WMS and Newiscom, who have worked on events including the centenary celebrations for Madrid’s Gran Via, and FNAC’s European Music Day. “Newiscom’’s close, on-going relationships with a host of popular brands will help both established and emerging acts reach new audiences via unique experiences and events,” says Warner Music Spain president Charlie Sanchez.
